Current Lab members
Fahmida Rahman, MS in Physics
National Science and Technology Fellowship Award 2023 recipient
Fahmida is an MS in Physics (Thesis) student. She will be working on membrane disruption and membrane pore-forming capabilities of a novel antimicrobial peptide called Dendropsophin 1 and its homologs. This project will use all-atom molecular dynamics simulation technique to simulate the modeled system containing lipid bilayers and peptides.
Sujit Halder, MS in Physics
National Science and Technology Fellowship Award 2023 recipient
Sujit is an MS (thesis) student in the Physics department. His research project aims to investigate the transport mechanism of Sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) mediated by SPNS2 transporter. The project will involve molecular docking, in silico modeling of the system, and running a long production simulation.Â
Rumana Islam, MS in Physics
Rumana completed her BSc majoring in Physics from the University of Barishal and now continuing her study as an MS student in the same department. She is a research enthusiast and doing research under my supervision on multiple projects. She is involved in a variety of extramural activities in and out of the university.
Shamo Rahman, MS in Physics
Shamo is currently an MS student in the Department of Physics at the University of Barishal. He completed his BSc majoring in Physics. He wants to develop his career as a scientist and finds interest in computational biophysics research. Shamo is now developing skills and abilities in research under my guidance and is now involved in a couple of projects in different directions.
